INFO
Technics maximised its know-how in developing the SL-1300 fully automatic direct-drive record player. The SL-1300 employed the direct-drive system to integrate the motor rotor and turntable platter, thus achieving further improvement of performance and reliability. The universal S-shaped tone arm incorporated a high-sensitivity gimbal suspension system with a high-precision pivot bearing. It offered superb tracing performance. The start and stop operations could be performed by a simple lever operation. There was no need to manually switch between automatic and manual. The SL-1300 even came a memory repeat function for automatic repeat-play. The dial allowed the user to select the number of times to be played from one to five and continuous. The SL-1300 established the automated function as a feature of Hi-Fi record players.
